What year(s) did you fly with the Snowbirds? I was a Buff pilot at Fairchild AFB, WA back in 1983 and finagled a ride with Lead Solo during one of their Airshows at Fairchild AFB, WA. All I remember was his first name, Stephan. I have his full name and pics (with him and my young daughter) somewhere in my memorabilia.. ha..
I'll never forget that day..... One of my best flying experiences ever....
Hi my corvette friend:
I was with the Snowbirds in 1978, to 1980. What a great time it was. definitely one of lifes highlights. If you flew in 1983 I would think it was with #8 Captain Bob Stephan. Great fellow indeed. After my tour I was based at Comox, British Columbia as an Aeronautical Engineer and frame specialist on the Aurora Aircraft, (P3 in the USN). 20 years of which I loved every day and every experience.
Since you flew with one of our pilots you have a first hand experience of what my 1600 flying hour with the team were like.
Prior to being selected for the team I was doing snag recoveries on the Tutor. This job took me all over the USA and Canada, flying in the Tutor and repairing any aircraft that were broken down on round robin training flights. This netted me over 1200 hours of stick time in that task over four years. Loved every minute of it. I only fly Pipers now, just for the relaxation of flying.
Must go now, have a great day and enjoy life to its fullest. Kevin

The best way to deal with an individual like this is to ban them.
Folks, the best way to get rid of trolls is to stop feeding them (i.e. stop giving them the attention they crave). If everyone just ignores them, they tend to go away
Thanks for posting the pictures! I Always liked the Air Force. Nothing finer then the paratroopers mode of travel, a nice big C130, when the doors open and the green light comes on. A big Thank You to all Veterans.

All that for recruiting. They could have just showed easy physical fitness test, lack of standards, dining facility (chow hall) and dorms (barracks) as a selling point.
It really is a shame that you felt the need to post your drivel, especially since you're from San Antonio, home of Air Force basic training.
Just one thought, your right to post your drivel is guaranteed to you, in part, by those who have worn and those who currently wear the Air Force uniform.
Awesome Corvette and kudos to ALL of our armed forces!
USAF from 1973 through 2000. Started in SAC. It was always a laugh seeing the Navy's billeting officer's face as he had to get me to sign a form acknowledging that his quarters didn't meet Air Force standards.
