Default Spring Mountain new C7 school experience

My Wife and I attended the new C7 Corvette owners school at Spring Mountain last week. She was there as a guest. All I can say is wow. I have never done anything like this - the driving was a blast - learned so much about driving/handling/braking/etc the C7. I'm even more amazed by this car. And as everyone has said in the forum, the staff and facilities are outstanding. Here is a fun little video I compiled. My Wife is a passenger in the lead Camaro Instructor car.

My wife and I will both attend the new owner school. Spoke to Donna, who said you get one discounted (GM subsidized) class per vin.

You can get a 10% discount on a second class if you're a member of this forum.

There were several couples participating - one got the discounted price, the other spouse paid the full class cost - but they both got to drive. If your Wife attends as a guest - get her to ride along with the instructors. My Wife did and she loved it.

What a great time that had to be. Hopefully some day I'll attend that driving school.

I was there last week on the 21st 22nd. Awesome class, facilities and instructors. Only problem was on my last session, the A8 trans refused to shift. I was going into and out of most turns in 4th gear instead of 3rd.

DCortez,

I'm picking up my new C7 in November. I mentioned to my wife about the discounted Spring Mountain opportunity for new C7 owners. To my surprise, she asked if she could take the course as well. I didn't realize that there was only one discount per VIN, but the CF discount for the second driver is nice to know. Hopefully we will get out to Vegas after the first of the year and combine driving school with few days on the strip.

Thanks for the info!

Sigh. I am green with envy. I did the class last March and it was an incredible experience, but no PDR at the time. My husband was the guest then, but we have a deposit down on a car for him. . .so I get to take the pics next time. Glad to see there is an avid group of "alumni" out there. I got to meet Ron Fellows at Lone Star Le Mans a couple of weeks ago and it was nice to meet the person behind such a great place.

I just completed level 2 last week. I highly recommend going back for level 2. If you thought level 1 was a blast, wait until you do level 2. Warning it's addicting.

Donna said over the phone that there is a 10% discount for forum members, it's not in the email. Had another conversation with her this morning, New Owner class qualifies you for the Level 2 course.

Thank you for your interest in Spring Mountain Motorsports, home of the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School. As the Official High Performance Driving School of Corvette, you will receive first class instruction in current model Corvettes. Our new C7 Stingray Z51’s and Z06's are here, and will be the exclusive car of the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School.

If you are a C7 Stingray or Z06 owner you will get a two day school for $1,000.00 plus one free night in the Condo. This offer is only valid for one person per car, and you must have taken delivery of the car to book the school. This offer is valid for one year from your date of purchase. The cost of the school if you are not a C7 owner is $2,500.00 for the Stingray class, and $3,695.00 for the Z06 class.

The goal for all levels of our schools, is to provide an exciting and educational, adrenaline-charged program. Through a dynamic series of car control exercises and maneuvers developed by Ron Fellows, we have developed a curriculum that will help you learn to process information quickly and accurately – the most important skills in the high-performance environment. Our step-by-step program integrates the exercises and maneuvers to coordinate eyes, hands, and feet providing you with a baseline for car control that will have you balancing your car with confidence and finesse. All of our Corvettes are equipped with two-way radio communications providing constant contact with our team of instructors.

While at Spring Mountain we invite you to stay in one of our luxurious condos. We offer our students a special rate starting at $110.00 a night. Condo information is available for review at:

http://www.springmountainmotorsports...enities/condos. We recently opened a kitchen in our Clubhouse and hired our own executive chef. We are now offering a hot breakfast buffet each morning, and a delicious catered lunch included in the price of your school. While you are on property we encourage you to take some time to enjoy all the amenities we offer. Our members clubhouse is home to an on-call massage therapist, a state-of-the-art workout facility, pool and spa, conference room, billiard and poker tables, an outdoor patio and fire pit. On property you will also find a high-tech indoor shooting range, racquetball and basketball courts, as well as a horseshoe pit.

I have attached the 2015 class schedule and curriculum for you to review. Registration is set up online for all C7 owners, or you can call me and I would be happy to assist you! If you sign up online you can put my name in the comments box, and I will call you back to book the Condo and finalize the registration process. I will need your vin and credit card when we talk, so be sure to have them available. These two items do not come across on a secured site so if you book online I will still need them.

We have a corporate account with Enterprise (#54CA648) discount code ‘SPR’ which will give you discounts on car rentals.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or need anything else?

Sincerely,

Donna
