Loose TPMS/Value Stem
I lost air pressure very quickly in the left front cruising down the interstate at about 80. I could feel the slight pull before I got the warning. Middle of nowhere. Run Flats worked great.
Quick google-search did not show any tire shops within 50 miles so I got off at the first exit that had a gas station to check out the tire.
I could not find a nail, screw, etc. so I figured I would put some air in the tire and see if I could feel where the leak was. When I went to remove the valve stem cap I noticed the valve stem had some "wiggle" in it so I tried to turn the nut which holds it and the TPMS tight against the rim.
It was less than finger-tight!! So I tightened it down with my friendly crescent wrench, filled the tire with air and it held pressure.
I checked the other nuts and found the right front one was only finger tight yet the valve stem did not have any noticeable wiggle in it (yet).
When I got back home I backed off each nut and gave them a drop of blue loc-tight and re-secured.
The next time you are washing your wheels you might try giving these nuts a turn test just to make sure this doesn't happen to you.
Cheers
