I did not renew the Sirius radio and now my radio screen has all of these empty boxes that used to be Sirius channels. How do I get ride of the empty boxes ?

Reason: yes
I think the empty boxes are just available positions. You can always "move" a favorite up a spot or two to fill the spots that are now empty. I need to shift a few of mine around as well.
I deleted all of my Sirius and radio channels until there was nothing left to delete
but the empty boxes are still there. Are you sure this works ?

Also, you can reduce the number of "boxes" displayed (in multiples of 5).
I was hoping to get rid of the boxes entirely since I don't use the radio.
Anyway I reduced the number of boxes to 5 and then added 5 radio stations that I don't listen to, which looks better than the empty boxes.

If desired, you can make the favorites bar "disappear" by touching the top of the favorites bar and then sliding it down to the bottom of the screen.
However, as CaryBob said, favorites can store a lot more than radio stations.
