Default Driving Dynamics in Track Mode

Just a quick question .. I normally drive in sport mode in my Manual 7 Z51, are there any driving characteristics that are different in track mode? I am referring to throttle response, (I know that the suspension adjusts and steering tightens) But wasn't sure if the car wakes up a little engine wise in Track mode.

According the owner manual, yes, the throttle response should in theory be faster in track mode.

But in my own tests, I couldn't really tell any difference in throttle response between touring, sports, and the various track modes.

Since it requires active effort to change the print that is already there, i believe that there is a change as outlined. Besides, it's a software change and it probably can be updated to 2014/15 models if similarly equipped... I saw a review on youtube where the reviewer said the car behaved significantly different in track versus sport. I believe he was reviewing a 2016 model.

Speaking of track mode, since I just traded my 2005 c6 in on a 2015 C7 two months ago, when in track mode and I rev the engine up a bit and it hits, say 30 mph but at 4500 rpm, is it supposed to hang up there are 4500 rpm (or whatever rpm when I let off the gas) for 5 seconds despite me having let off of the gas completely? It makes me afraid I'm going to grenade my engine because I'm doing something wrong. Sometimes I switch it back to touring mode because it seems like the rpm's hang up there for too long.

Would be curious if anyone could verify the throttle progression change on the 16. I know for 15 it remained the same in sport or track.

No, the car didn't change, they just fixed the manual so its actually correct.
