My newest phone (Stock Galaxy Note 5) is having a little quirk when connected to the car.
Simply put, as I'm listening to another source (radio, xm, etc.) if I get a notification on the phone (text, email, etc...anything that makes an audible alert) the head unit switches the input to bluetooth audio and starts playing music off the device.
Any thoughts? I haven't had issues with my other phones (rooted LG G3, rooted Nexus 5, etc.). The other devices will get notifications but the headunit still plays the source it's using.
EDIT: I also posted this on XDA (popular phone tinkering website). If I find a solution there I'll post it here but figured both avenues would be a good place to ask.

My Galaxy S6 Edge Plus does not have this problem. One thought - when it starts playing music off the device what app is playing it? Maybe it has some sort of autoplay setting?

PowerAMP
Under Bluetooth setting I have "resume on bluetooth" and "resume on wired headset" unchecked
I haven't had this happen with my LG phone. If I get a call it switches, of course, and I get notified for text messages, but that's all. Something on the phone must be signalling the car's unit so it thinks you've got an incoming call.
I had a similar issue happen a few weeks ago with my iPhone. Started to really **** me off, as I kept switching back to XM only to have it switch back to my phone music again. Sometimes it was a few seconds after switching, sometimes several minutes. I believe I finally shut BT off on the phone and reconnected to stop the behavior.
Only time it has happened in the month and a half that I've had my car (5600 miles).
