I have had it about 10 days. Previously owned a 2010 GS and recently a SL63 AMG. The Benz was great, certainly a better ride more solid feeling car but the Vette is simply more fun to drive! Plus I could only get one set of clubs in the Benz. Wish I though of that before I bought it

Had a chance to go to Spring Mountain last February with a good friend of mine who owns a Chevrolet dealership. That was all it took. Placed order end of July arrived at dealership end of September.

Overall I am very pleased with the car....only 2 minor gripes so far. Have to remember to shut the doors firmly and the tire hop at a full lock slow turn. Oh and that I have to wait 500 miles to step on it!

Have a hand full of minor mods in the works will report back when I get some of them completed. Mostly cosmetic & convenience type stuff for now.

A big thanks to all on here, this has been a great resource for me. I don't post often but read threads everyday!

Try shutting the doors using the silver door latch on the inside door frame. Just hook your index finger in the 'loop', and gently swing closed. I started using this method to avoid fingerprints on the door, and was surprised at the lack of effort required.

Congrats and welcome back! Beautiful ride...and the garage doesn't look too shabby either. Love the C7 looks and ride, but miss the electronics and CD player in my C6....

Car looks great and so does your garage! As it gets colder that hop gets worse! This will be my 3rd winter (although it doesn't get that cold in SC.) My Z51 C7 is now 2 yrs and 1 week old! Made this PDF about the "chatter" or hop that may be of interest. You'll see the main issue is the tires, forum members who installed All-Season tires for the winter say it goes away. The PDf discusses why.
Good luck: http://netwelding.com/Wheel_Chatter.pdf

Sharp Vettte and very nice garage. Had to be a tough decision letting go of the SL63. In any event, enjoy the new wheels and keep us posted on the upgrades.

It was actually an easy decision. Not being able to get 2 sets of golf clubs in the trunk was a biggie for me, also out of warranty. The tougher decision was Z51 or Z06.

In case you haven't heard it enough, beautiful car and garage. What is the 'ramp' leading from the stairs upwards?

The small set of steps goes to a mudroom leading to our kitchen.
The "ramp" going into the ceiling is a set of stairs leading to a loft above the garage...that is my wife's office. That is accessed from the same mudroom area.
