I was going to upgrade to the Z06, but once they announced that Cyber Grey was gone, I went and looked at the Shark Grey and wasn't even close. Everyone has their tastes, but for me, the C7 looks amazing in Cyber Grey. I gave it time hoping the Shark would grow on me, but after more than a year, I've given up. Keeping what I got. Added a supercharger, so now I have a Cyber Grey Z06 powered car without all the boy racer plastic bolt ons!
The King looks great and the C7 Stingray as well in CG. This color always shows the sculpture and lines of the vehicle. You never tire of it, and rather than being a "pop" shade, it is rather sinister IMO. Always receive compliments and they are head turners .....
Shark gray does look a bit taupe or pewter and many people like that. Note that for several of the C5 years Pewter was the 3rd most popular color right behind Torch red and black. Looks like Shark gray might have a similar run of popularity. Cyber gray had a 6 year run. Maybe after Shark's run ends they can bring back Cyber. They did bring back Torch red and DSOM by popular demand.

I think the interior color really effects how shark grey looks. With the interiors in the brown color or brown color tones does make shark grey look on the taupe or pewter side.
With black or red interior, shark grey looks a "truer" grey. Both look good, but just different.
As someone who is out looking right now I can tell you, Cyber Gray cars sell. My local dealer said that color sells fast. I'd really prefer the C5 Spiral Gray (they can give it a new name) but Cyber Gray is close enough. After that, my choice would be silver, then Shark Gray then White.
I'd also agree with Jack, bringing back Pewter would be fine with me.
