Default Temperature setting out in AC ****

I took the Vette for a short ride when I noticed that the AC temperature setting was no longer in the center of the AC temperature dial. Anyone experience this? I assume there is an LED that lights up the dial.

This morning, I went down to the garage, started up the Vette and the temperature setting is back in the **** but flickering with idle. It is little crap like this that annoys me, because I hate taking the car to a dealer for something so minor.

Yeah, especially when they say the car is "operating as designed"...

I hear that. I'd mention it to the Svc Mgr when you bring it in and have them take a look at it. If it's going to entail taking apart the dash to fix, I'd pass on it, it's something that can be fixed behind a panel or from under the dash, I'd get it addressed.

Sorry to hear you have the issue.

Yes, I mentioned it in an Aug 30 post and heard from a couple more owners that experienced the same thing. Mine came back the same day, bright and steady and never had the problem again. My 2 cents is let it be unless it goes out completely.

Its under warranty. I'd say get if fixed now whatever it is cause later you will be screwed. Imagine trying to sell the car to someone someday when you have a problem that requires ripping open the dash (if it does...i really have no idea)?

My '14 did the same thing, temp readout digits disappeared in the **** and on the passenger side two times when the car was a few weeks old. They came back after a while and I never had a problem again. I had several updates done to the HVAC and other modules so its possible one of those fixed it.

The '14 I had always flickered a bit when they were dimmed, never really bothered me. This '16 flickers a bit too when dimmed.

Well, the numbers are back and flickering with idle. I will wait and see because I don't want a tech tearing into my dash over a light. I have over a year left on bumper to bumper and have an extended warranty. If I go to the dealership at some point, I'll ask about it. Most likely, the car won't see a dealership until I trade it in.
