Courtesy delivery
Is a courtesy delivery ordering from a dealer like macmulkin who has high allocation but having it delivered to a dealership near you straight from the factory? Is Macmulkin willing to do this? Does the selling dealer have any reason to charge anything to coordinate this?
If that is the case, what is the expected fee the dealer accepting the courtesy delivery charges. (range of what is fair)
Would they need to be a Chevrolet dealer or any GM dealer?
Anyone on the forum ever done this (assuming I have the mechanics of it correct)

MacMulkin can most probably provide you with the name of a dealer close to you that will work with them and you. There will be an extra charge, around 500 dollars would be my guess.

Yes, courtesy dealer needs to be a Chevy dealer. $200-$500 is the typical range for the fee the courtesy delivery dealer charges. Many people on the forum have done courtesy deliveries.

I can't imagine Reed Buick GMC not doing it for me. They have a Chevy dealer about 30 minutes north of me too. I just bought 2 new Denali's from them 2 months ago.

I'd go immediately to your GM dealer to see if they'll do a gratis delivery for you.
Henna Chevrolet in Austin, Texas has done gratis C7 delivery in at least one case from another Internet dealer here.

In my case, back in January i was working with macmulkin. When i was calling around the local area for a courtesy delivery one of the dealers offered the same deal as macmulkin. After they convinced me they had an allocation i ordered from them. 2 months later i had my C7.

Mac set mine up, costing $500. Not sure if they negotiated it, or if the dealer has a set price. Pretty high imho, but overall, I saved a good chunk of change.

MacMulkin will take care of all the details including giving you options for courtesy dealers in your area. I ordered my Z51 from MacMulkin and they made all the arrangements with the courtesy dealer close by me in So Cal. I just had to pay the local dealer $300.

Not positive, but I think GM requires the dealer accepting courtesy delivery to be on their list of dealers qualified to accept courtesy delivery. I know not all dealers will accept courtesy delivery.

People at Mac said they called around Houston, I provided a list of five or so, and only one dealer returned their call.
Was hoping to get something closer to home so I could set up a surprise for the wife. Oh well, I'll do it on our actual 25th anniversary date, which is a couple of months out, instead.
