Default Front splitter

Here in the uk I want to put a front splitter on my z51 3lt convertible
However we suffer from speed humps to slow you down in the city
Theses are also called sleeping policemen
When I had my c6 zo6 the spring loaded retractable diffuser would catch on the above and that was OK as it would spring back
I do not want to put a splitter on the c7 and then find I damage it first time out any ideas
Regards from a wet uk

The stock stage 1 Z06 splitter (poverty splitter) will probably work. It is no lower that the air dams that are already on the car. I have one on my Z51 coupe and have not problem with speed bumps.

What's the most you'd spend on a front splitter, Juan? Stage 3 interests me but so does the disposable poverty.

The stage 1 splitter has more front end clearance than I have had on any Corvette, a full 6 inches...

I'd add another vote for the GM Z06 stage 1 splitter. It's inexpensive compared to the others, easily installed, ABS plastic so it can take some abuse and you can get it through a GM dealer or eBay p/n 22922352. I'd recommend picking up some 5/16" scrivets off amazon to install with instead of the pop rivets. It'll make it a lot easier to remove if you trash it.

You just need to learn to take speed bumps and driveways at an angle. I've had carbon fiber splitters on my Grand Sport, my wife's Stingray, and now my '16 C7, and wouldn't have it any other way.

Speed bumps are more prevelant in the UK than here, and it's not easy to take them at an angle.

You should be ok, Iv'e done ok with speed bumps, it the steep driveways and parking lots you need to watch out for. I scraped the underside of the splitter first day.

BUT not too great an angle . If you have a splitter, the outside edges are liable to get hit if the angle is too great when going over humps or at the transition point on a driveway, unlike only worrying about the air dam where the greater the angle, the better.
