Good video, interesting that the Stealth mode is not as quiet as I thought it would be.

I thought they were close in sound, but I'd have to ask my wife. Apparently I don't hear worth a crap, LOL.

I think you can hear more of a difference in person. Kinda hard to capture on camera.

Stealth seems about like how the stock exhaust sounds. The stock system is a lot louder than it is given credit. It would be interesting to hear all three exhaust sounds back to back on the same video. I have the stock system on my C7 as I had on the C6. The difference is light years apart. I am perfectly happy.

I believe this is true the non NPP sounds like Stealth Mode. It's cool, you hear more engine and intake where the NPP takes over with exhaust.

Minor correction for your description of the number of available settings for the 'Engine Sound Management'...

There are actually FIVE modes, not four. Don't forget Auto mode, the default, which sets the exhaust mode to follow the overall Driving Mode selection. The other four settings force the exhaust mode to stay in one setting all the time, without regard for the active Driving Mode.

Also - I really don't get the 'stealth' part of Stealth Mode, at least when I am driving in a spirited manner, and trying not to attract attention. It surely sounds a lot louder inside the car than I expected, given the name.

Is Stealth Mode really quieter outside the car ??

This is before I added the ARH midlength headers but, you get a good idea of the sound difference with the Borla dual mode Atak system with Corsa off-road double helix.

I think the camera is too close to the car to be able to truly tell the difference in the first comparison. The stealth mode still retains most of the interior sound. The last comparison is the true reason for "stealth" you can't even hear the car launching or driving off slowly (just tire noise).

If you want to take away 1 thing only from this video, take the sound difference between 3:06 and 3:36.

Love the sound, that's what track mode should have been from the factory

Didn't know they offered a dual mode! Was the mic for vid at the exit of exhaust?

Just what part of FIVE modes do you not get ???

The only exception is the earliest C7's that only had AUTO and OFF (loud) modes.

I still miss my old 'mild to wild' on my C6!
I've tried every combination of settings with that 'sound management' deal,
but I still don't like it as much as the old 'manual' setup...

I wish there was a quick switch to change modes. Manual talks about programming radio presets for other features but I tried and can't program exhaust modes. That would be awesome to have a Stealth and Track preset.

Man, what a great idea...

Unfortunately, when I just tried to save an exhaust setting, the screen says 'cannot store preset in this mode'.
So, it does look like exhaust settings are not designed to be stored as presets... BOO

You can add a simple circuit that will install and insert the fuse that controls the rear NPP exhaust valves. The circuit will allow the car to run in Stealth mode with the computer controlling the NPP valves normally (quiet most of the time) or Track mode when selected via wireless remote fob and/or the Homelink buttons on the visor. It is actually better than Track mode as the NPP valves will remain open 100% of the time. Normal Track mode closes the rear NPP valves at lower RPMs.
