Just received a diagnostic email report advising me that my tire pressures were low. I am running 32 psi in all 4 tires. Onstar report says they should be at 35 psi which is what the drivers door placard also says.

Run mine at 32 psi.......seems fine to me.....on star sent me an email saying right front tire pressure low, I checked the info screen and it showed good, also checked all the tires and pressure was good.....on star was wrong! Oh yeah...base, non Z51 here. Door placard says 30 psi.
For the most part, OnStar is useless, they are just trying to make you think they are providing some kind of value so you will renew your contract which is expensive.
As we found out on another thread, the 14/15 models recommended 30PSI and the 2016 models recommend 35PSI.
I have a 2016 Zo6 Stage 2. The recommended tire pressure is 30 psi front and 30 psi back. The info for tire pressure is located when you open the front door and read the sticker on the back side of the door opening. I think that is the standard spot for all 2015 & 2016 corvettes.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm..
Got a 2014 and mine says run at 30 psi too.....
Did Michelin change their minds and recommend 35 psi
for all of us?????
The base 2016 models definitely say 35 psi. Not sure why it changed but someone suggested GM was trying to squeak out 30 mpg rating and thought 35 psi in the tires might do it. I'm going to run 32 psi as a compromise.
As we found out on another thread, the 14/15 models recommended 30PSI and the 2016 BASE models recommend 35PSI.
Corrected the above. 2016 base models say 35 psi on the sticker, Z51s and Z06s still say 30.
Someone on the "other" forum reached out to a contact at Chevy who said the change in pressures from 2014/15 to 2016 was done solely to improve gas mileage. There were no changes to the tires.
I've tried both 30 and 35 in my 2015, and much prefer 30. 35 both rides roughly and makes the steering feel too light.

So far I've found the OnStar diagnostics reports on my DD to be pretty accurate on the tire pressure readings (double checked with digital pressure gauge). It's a nice service, but I don't wait for OnStar to send me a report - I check the pressure in the tires more often than once a month. I did not renew my OnStar subscription when the trial ended and am just getting the messages from the basic coverage they offer.
Hard to fault OnStar for reporting what GM lists as the recommended tire pressures. It's up to the owner to either follow that recommendation or go with something different based on their preferences.
I have a 2014 Z-51 with over 10,000 miles on it, got it on January 11th, of 14. The only times I have heard anything from ON STAR was when it came time to re-new, and once when I cleaned my rear-view mirror.
No monthly reports, no warning for my tire pressure, (although recently the car said 25 pounds for all four tires) but when I checked them with 3 different tire pressure gauges they all said 29 or 30 pounds.
What am I doing wrong? Do I have to ask for these warnings or what?
I have my tires at 32 psi(cold) now. As the temps drop they will probably go down to 30 psi (cold by mid January). After warmed up, they are at 35 psi. If I start to detect wear in the center I will reduce the pressure. I am running goflats, Conti DWS06 tires, not sure if that makes any difference but their sidewalls are definitely softer than the Michelin runflats. Don't really notice much difference in the ride or handling between 30 and 35 psi.
