Default C7 questions

Is there a good range for the oil pressure and temp when driving under normal conditions?

There are some occasions when my dash lights up with yellow when driving somewhat spirited? Cant seem to find any information as to what this is telling me. Someone had called this a 'halo effect'.

Thanks in advance

The yellow (or red) dash color means that you have exceeded the suggested RPM limit that the car has set based on conditions (3500 rpm I think). If you are in the first 500 miles it is set low all of the time (break in period). After 500 miles it is set low until the car warms up.

Oil pressure bounces all over the place, so I don't know the "optimal" range.
My oil temps in normal driving seems to sit at around 205 degrees.

My oil temp hovers in the low 200 range but have seen it as high as 245 during a spirited drive on a 117 degree day. Even at 245, it was well below the danger zone.

Is your car a Z51 equipped car or a base?
My '15 base car runs about 32-33 pounds of pressure under normal driving and the Z51 will run higher...guessing here that it should be around 40 lbs. Oil temp will run about 205 under normal street usage, will go up under hard driving.
