Recently got my 14 non-Z51 with 18,600 miles back from repair.

The sequence of events:

1) Popped trunk using fob
2) Drove less than a mile and my fuel gauge read below zero as if it were broken
3) CEL came on a few minutes later

Dealer cleared codes and sent me on my way only to have the light come back on after a 30 minute drive

Dealer ended up having to drop fuel tank and replace both sensors.

I didn't find much on here besides a couple folks saying that it happened to them after using the fob as well but there are no service bulletins about it. Also called MacMulkin and they'd never heard of it.

Just thought I'd post in case any of you all came across the same issue in the future.

Seems strange that your fuel gauge and sensors messed up after using the fob.

Difficult to imagine any connection with a failure with the fuel sensors due to using the FOB to open the hatch.
But whatever the cause glad the dealer fixed it.

Had problems with fuel sending units in the C-5 & C6, GM said they fixed it in the C-7 ???
