Sometimes I turn on my drivers seat ventilation and it works, and just as often if not more so, I turn it on full and absolutely nothing.

Remember it doesn't actually cool, it recirculates your ac air from below into the car. 90' out and your ac isn't on it will do nothing.

My ventilated seats work great. Its the heated seats that do not work well.

There is NO comparison between the C6 and C7 heated seats, my C6's would set you on fire.

Set your airflow distribution to bi-level with AC on you should feel the cool air. My car gets so cold I have to reduce fan speed or select a warmer air setting. If you don't feel seat air flow with AC airflow on bi-level your system needs servicing by dealer. If you are circulating cabin ambient air sometimes you can hardly feel the seat air flow.

Got to say that the ventilated seats work great even in the Florida Inferno. I just turn the AC on auto and set it for 70. I do nothing special. One of the better features of the C7 even though they are not officially cooled seats.

I only wish there was a menu setting with the option to turn on automatically when the AC is set to auto when you start the car.

When you think they're not working, take a tissue and set it on the seat, and see if there's airflow pushing it away from the seat. If so, the fans are working. I think one reason they sometimes feel more effective than other times is that if you're even a little bit sweaty, the airflow dries the sweat and makes you feel cooler. And, as others have said, they only blow up air from under the seats, so if you don't have the car closed and the A/C on you're not blowing cool air.

As for heated seats, mine seem to work fine. They get hot enough I can't leave them on the highest setting for very long.

Does anyone know if there are A/C seats that fit the C7?? I had a Taurus for a loaner from my Dealer. And I tell you those seats get instantly COLD!!!!!! A Taurus??? I live Orlando, Fl. And this summer had to be a record hot one! I have a convertible, love the top down always. Not
this year I think I would pay premium bucks for a/c seats? The closest thing I came to
was for motorcycle riders. It is a tight fitting vest that attaches to a cooling system that is smaller than a breed box. It locks on to the back of the bike where a passenger would go.
When you leave your bike you unlock it and take it with you. I am tempted to buy it. They are sold out tell first of the year??? Any Ideas???

I think ther was some government mandated change around 2012. It was designed to limit the amount of heat to prevent burns to some people.

I had a similar problem with mine (16 z51 3lt). When I brought it in for service for a check engine light, I mentioned it to the service mgr.
When I picked her up, he mentioned there was a recall on the seats (his words) for a cooling issue and a recall for airbags.
They performed both and the seats have been working fine since.
You may want to check with the dealer.
