Looks great! Ron Fellows alluded to this package when he spoke to us at the Corvette Corral Tent at Petit LeMans. Glad to finally see some pics of it. Thanks for the post. There are several other threads on this but this is the first I've seen with pictures. Time for a Mega Merge?

I guess I already have this package minus the exterior color and slick tires.
I already Z06 intake scoops and grille. I have carbon fiber splitter, rear spoiler and side skirts. I also have competition seats, PDR,....
Where my car gets ahead for track purpose
Massive transmission cooler
Ron Davis radiator
AP BBK

I wish they would have built a better track oriented car with better cooling, better brakes, lighter, more power, and better suspension. I don't see the value in this track day concept car but I could be wrong.

Yeah... I agree. We know that Team Corvette knows about the issues. Maybe they didn't list everything included (just some hope it does have upgraded cooling)?

Such a letdown. Only thing they added beyond what owners have already done since the Z06 parts were released is the Harness Bar, which I assume was designed to be used with the comp seats in mind so it would actually pass tech on a track.

They claim Forgline wheels but show stock Gloss black wheels

Would think they would at least added Z06 brakes...

Other then that it is a Z51 with different paint option and stickers.

They did add the Z06 brakes. For some reason it doesn't show on the list. But they talked about the Z06 brakes on stage with Ron Fellows.

So shoddy reporting in the article then....

Was there any mention of other parts added that wasn't in the list?

Seems like it is a showcase of the GM Performance parts that they are offering to upgrade the standard Z51 vs. a special model (though they may offer it as a package deal installed at the factory?)

GM Performance wants $4500 for front and rear upgrade kits from Z51 to Z06 (iron rotor) brakes. Then add in the front grille, splitter, vents, cooling?, wheels... I can see over $10K just in parts to upgrade a Z51 to Z06 without bodywork or motor work.

The little red paint and some decals and I'm there.

It makes you wonder why they didn't use a Z06. Oh wait, they plan on running more than 3 laps. Yup, that's why...

The T1 suspension should be a decent upgrade and the steel Z06 brakes would be nice. For 4500, I'd be shopping for a AP BBK or something else that was built for the track.

Yes, the changes do add up to quite a hefty price tag.

the 19x11 rear wheel is nice( 315's could/should on 19's fit back there) but whats with the 19x 8.5's up front?? i run forgeline and CCW's 18x10 up front on a z51 c7, they at least should have went with 19x9.5's up front. on days that i do run SS i have to pinch a 275 on the 8.5 wide wheel, i see no reason for the 8.5 wide wheel, im sure they thought about it because they changed the rear from 10 to 11 wide.

The only thing I don't have on mine are the decals and harness bar. If anyone can find the part number of the harness bar then I'll just be short the decals (which is exactly how I'd want it).

Does that have the J56 (Z06 Iron) brakes on it under Z51 wheels? It looks like they fit, even though the Chevrolet Performance Catalog indicates that they won't.

Also, I abhor the way the Z06 spoiler pokes out over the sides of the bumper cover. I'd sooner buy the Katech or the Showstopper.

It doesn't appear as though it does. The rotors don't appear to be the bolt together 2 price rotors.

I would say NO the brakes don't fit under the Z51 wheels, thats why the spring mountain cars are going to come with custom spec Forgeline wheels.

Apparently from what I read in another thread they didn't bother fitting all of the parts to the SEMA showcars and just did the cosmetic parts of it.

I also agree 100% on the spoiler. Z06 spoiler was not made or intended for a Z51 car. I'd also rather go aftermarket with something that fits correctly.

I just caught high-res pics of the concept. I can't quite tell about the calipers, but it does have 2 piece rotors and they certainly look bigger than Z51 units.
