Playing with the idea of painting a 1/4 inch pin stripe along the bottom of my front splitter and side skirts before I install them so I found a picture of a car and photoshopped it to get an idea. I'll be adding red rim guards as I have issues with curb rash for sure, it's just the pin strip on the bodywork that's being discussed here.
My thoughts? I think it might be nice. I'm looking for something subtle and tasteful that adds a little bit of POP to the car and ties the splitter/side skirts into the rest of the car (although the carbon fiber already does this). Now that you know my thoughts/goals what are yours, rice or nice?
Can't really say it looks bad, but it borders on too much going on.
The red rings on the wheels look to be just enough without adding more pin striping else where
I wouldn't paint on exposed cf. Carbon flash yes, it looks sharp especially on torch red. Oreillys had some 1/4" pin striping in lots of different colors. You could always pick up red for $3 to see what it would look like.
I like the idea of an accent and you might be on the right track. You can try different ideas with pin stripe tape and see what you like. As some have suggested, it appears a bit busy as it sits in the picture. A thinner pinstripe might not look so busy, you know, one that a casual observer may even miss but an admirer might say "Wow, check that out. I didn't see the matching pinstripe at first." Good luck and post pics of what you come up with.

Y'all beat me to it. It's your car. you paid for it. As Rooster suggested, do the tape thing first. Then if you like it, go the paint route or, simply leave the tape. Much easier to remove at a later date if you get tired of it.

I think your idea looks pretty good on the car. I would agree with just using some pinstripe tape first and give it a while to see just how you like it. Good luck with whatever you decide.
