C7 nose emblems - two different?

Collecting one each of different Vette nose emblems (27 by my count) - on the C7 I find two - one with a chrome border (see ebay, but stated to be GM manufacture), (I assume metal) and one with black border (this one is all abs). The 16 at my Chevy showroom has the black border abs on front (and back); Chevy parts dept. says the C7 (14,15,16) "are all the same"; well, which is it - or is it both? Will appreciate.

Both. There's chrome and carbon flash.

It's kind of sad that the dealer parts department doesn't know there are two different badge types.

Carbon flash badging is a $100 option. Otherwise everything is chrome including the fishes. I think it's actually backwards on the Z06 where you pay $100 to have chrome?
