Default GM survey

Just received and filled out the survey on the vette. Never received this from any of my Silverado purchases!!

I blasted the vent seats, the shift lock out, auto dimming mirror not dimming enough and the hatch/top rattle over bumps. Also, mentioned having shifting issues, esp going into 3rd. Very clunky, not sure if shifter or syncho's.

That is what the survey is for fill it out, answer the questions and document your concerns. Not too big a deal.

Never got one...I think Kerbeck gave them the wrong e-mail address.....not worth my time. I tend to fix my own cars.

What don't you like about the vented seats? I love mine. Heated seats? That's another topic.

I thought there was an official bulletin that just came out regarding fixing the top rattling?

My auto dimming mirror(s) dim the same as my other cars that have auto dimming.

I have never seen an auto-dimming mirror that worked as well as the old manually controlled variety, so I guess I am agreeing with your statement.

I will tell you this. GM does look at these surveys. I blasted them for how they handled the A8 tranny repair that took a dump with 100 miles on the clock where I got to the last day before I could invoke the lemon law. They wanted to replace the tranny but they were on back order and it took them weeks to ship one and they made the mistake of sending it by truck instead of air as they promised. A very nice lady from GM corporate called me and listed to me repeat the same things I wrote on this survey.

I had expected NOTHING from her and did not even expect them to call. I went through similiar with Acura and they did NOTHING, nada, did not care. But GM did at least admit their fault and gave me a $1500 certificate for accessories as make up. Since they (apparently) correctly repaired the car, I am ok with it. Just my bad luck that I have owned many used vetted and this is the first brand new one I ever bought and had the worst problem with it.

I don't feel any heat. And with cooling, I barely feel it in my butt, but nothing in my back. I'd assume that vented seats would vent your back!

Oh and don't get me wrong. These things are knit-picky compared to the joy I get out of driving this car!!!!

Seat bottoms are vented - not cooled. Backs aren't, nor are they in any other new car I've been in.

Wrong. The seats have three fans, two in the bottom and one in the back. We also have a Lexus and Porsche that vent through the seat back. The corvette is definitely the worst of the three. But it's better than nothing.

Thanks for the correction.

Wife's new Explorer has seats that actually cool and not just vent. MUCH better than the vented seats in the C7.

I believe that the Explorer was the best active system available. They get down right cold. It's bad though, once you use those everything else gets compared to them.
