Auto vs Manuel for racing

Auto vs Manuel for racing
In the z06 motor trend posted a 1:25.00 lap time at Laguna seca with the Manuel but a 1:25.76 with the auto. But in their new video with the ats-v, they posted a 1:40.56 with the Manuel and a 1:40.25 with the auto on a track. Now the z06 and the ats-v basically have the same auto trans but different Manuels. How is the z06 quicker with the Manuel but the ats-v is quicker with the auto? The the M7 in the z06 just that much better then the M6 in the ats-v?

To answer the question, if your very skilled you'll probably win with the stick... Otherwise auto. It's probably a toss up on the track.
