I am a big fan of sun roofs or in the case of the C7, transparent top. Sure I can take the top off but on those days when I don't feel like it I can still see the sky.

I'm not a pilot but I do understand liking the polycarb top. Had it on the C6 and loved it.

In the summer it is nice to have the solid top when temps get very high, otherwise the transparent top works very well. Just depends on whether you feel you'll really use both tops enough to justify the extra expense.
