I have read all the "noisy top" threads; but none discuss this. I have two tops; both seem to fit fine and neither makes any noise. But the rear latch one the transparent top seems loose; it closes with no resistance. On the painted top, there is a LOT of resistance on the rear latch....to the point where it seems like the headliner is deflecting when it closes.
Can the tension on the rear latch be adjusted? Is it just a matter of turning the J hook? I think it could be tightened a bit on the transparent top, and loosened a bit on the painted top....but I don't want to start messing with stuff without checking first.
I have done a search but not found anything on point. Has anyone hear successfully adjusted the tension on that rear latch? How?
