Used solid top price
I will be taking delivery of a new coupe shortly after the first of the year with the two top option. Should I decide to sell the solid top, what is it worth. Haven't seen any in the for sale section.
Why not keep both tops that come with the car at least initially? You might like the look of the second top and enjoy changing the look of the car by rotation of tops with the seasons. If you want to sell one I would expect you could get within a few hundred of new. Buying from an individual most will expect a discount because buying second hand is "as is". I understand the glass top tends to be hotter in the summer. Good luck.
Pricing is kind of all over the map. At about $1k they get sold fairly quick, at 1.5K they don't go as fast. I've been looking for a second top but won't pay over 1k for one myself.

That is my thought track. The body color top will get stored in a top cover in my closet as I did the C6 solid top. It only went back on when I traded the car for the '15 convertible.

Hell yes. That's what stayed on the C6 year round. Solid one was in the closet. I have the two piece inside removable sun shield covers from Vette Candy. They will fit the C7 tinted top too. I already checked.

That dealer is full of it. Several of our forum dealers have told me there is no issue getting a body color roof now.
I suspect that's true, as when I was at the plant back in June, I saw painted tops everywhere. Even looking at cars at my local dealer, seemed that painted tops are not in short supply.
Is this thing working OK for you? Any problems with it?
I personally don't have it since I ordered both tops. But from reports on here it's the exact same piece, just cut and re-finished right down the middle. It definitely adds versatility for road trips with a copilot for sure.

Mine work great. They have been in use going back to my '07 and no issues with the suction cups. I like the two piece as it is easier to store in the cargo compartment. Evidently he only makes it in black now. Mine are a light gray which I prefer.

Thanks for the info. I might go with the one piece, but I won't need it until maybe April. My interior is brownstone, so I would imagine the black would be fine.
I'm looking for a shark gray painted top...hope GM will have some
extra ones in the next year. I think as of Nov 2015 they are hard
to come by. Am I wrong?
