Who is satisfied with their Base C7 with Z51 Sway Bars? Let's get a tally.

swapped the Z51 sway bars into our 15 3lt non Z at around 1k miles, as my only complaint was the body roll when bombing the back roads, flattened it out nicely and would do it again without hesitation, just over 7k miles on her now and still loving it

Yeah, Gene has an entire kit with all the goodies put together. The big question in my mind is would this be overkill for a street only car. Bought for long distance touring. No HPDE or AutoX.

It's usually a subtle difference- especially day to day driving. You won't feel it at all on the freeway, except maybe ramps.
However, I raced the car HARD at a SCCA autocross track all today today....was really fun! Not sure if the sway bars made that much of a difference (although never ran an autoX before the change)- but nice to have the confidence they had been upgraded.

Not sure what you expect on the highway. Sway bars have no effect at all in a straight line. They only come into play when you get body roll, and the springs on the C7 are stiff enough that in gradual turns they won't really come into play either. During harder cornering, when the body starts to lean, the sway bars will act to counteract that lean.

I often wonder whether the C7 Corvette Team's goal to justify "every ounce" that went into its development found that removing the rear sway bar with a smaller front sway bar gave them a nice weight reduction for the base car.

Good Question. One we will never know the answer to.

Thinking of doing this mod using the Cultrag kit.
What is involved to install both front and rear?
Can I do it in my own garage using race ramps/jack stands or is a lift required to let the wheels hang free for access?
Anyone have install pics they can post up?

So can one reduce the body roll by adding the rear bar only ?

Not with mine from Cultrage. But these instruction are here on CF. My Chevy Dealer installed mine.
EDIT: Cultage's got a sale! Go to this CF Thread

Did this mod on my 08 base coupe. Improved handling and steering feel with no change in ride. Great $250 mod (poor man's Z51).

Overkill? Not one bit and I bought the Cultrage Kit. Like you my C7 will never see the track but the improved confidence I have on twisty back roads more than justified the moderate expense for this upgrade. Debating buying a second set of wheels/tires that will probably be 19"/20". Had the Chevy Dealer do the install and lowered on the bolts with a free 4 wheel alignment for around $100.

Going to find out in short order. I just did the blackfriday10 discount code thing with Cultrag. The 10% off covered the shipping cost. Hope they get here before I head to B G to pick up the car next month. I will drag them with me and have the Chevy dealer there install them before I head home the long way via the Dragon's Tail.
