Has anyone got any experience with their C-7 and the window valet?
I have it on my C-5 and love it, but I want to make sure they work OK on the C-7 as well.
Just installed mine a couple of weeks ago and it is wonderful! Was packing up the car at a show this weekend and closed my windows with 3 simple clicks while my dad was getting into his to put up his windows...I think I know what his next mod will be!
I had it on my C5 vert. It made putting the top up and down much more convenient. But since the C7 top is powered, I don't see as much need for it. I don't miss it.
I have one on my 15 C7. In vent position, it often does not lower the windows enough to allow the hatch to close without slamming (the reason I purchased it). The manufacturer claims it lowers about 1/2 inch but I see about half that.
Phanni;[/B]1590962904]They are $150 at the source, anyone know of a better deal?
I paid about $105-$110. I will try to find the invoice and post it. It was a CF vendor.

My vent mode brings the window down the 1/2". Perhaps there is some kind of adjustment with the window. All I know is I use the vent mode and it works great with ample room between window top and rubber molding to have hot or warm air dissipate from the interior.

The $121.76 above is a good price. I bought mine via Southern Car Parts for $129.99 with free shipping.
Had electrical programs last yrar went through the wiring and grounds. Now when refilling ac no power to clutch relay. New sensors were installed on ac lines. I haven't talked to him for a few days but he may be thinking of the security system being on or off. To change that I oped drivers door with key on and use the power lock to activate or deactivate it. Not sure of the total procedure on that. Also thought maybe need to pull out ac computer programer and clean the connections inside as i have read that it can cause problems.

Bought one as soon as they were available for the C7 about a year ago. I had tried many things to get my September 2013 built 2014 C7 hatch to latch and it will not without a door or windows open. Window Valet has worked and is a great tool to open the windows before entering the car so the hatch can be closed and latched. Also very useful on hot days! It also closes the windows with the Key FOB, if opened to have the hatch latch.
There were some reports about other devices connected to the OBDII to stop V4 engine operation in automatic C7's possibly causing battery failure. I emailed Window Valet and the President of Top Down Technology responded with the current draw. He stated: "The unit draws 0.12 milli amps."
The 2014 Service Manual indicates the C7 draws about 30 milliamps when stopped and the car will start after being off for about 30 days. So 0.12 mA's extra current draw is insignificant!
PS: Mine lowers both windows all the way when activated.
