Meh, might as well. Just to make sure the vehicle knows I am STOPPED.

I have watched the video and I still fail, might as well try.

Kind of how I do to get hill hold to work. I can feel the computer taking over when I do that hard press on the brake pedal. I bet this is the key.

Aahhh I am all excited and want to try it right now =)

Do you have 3 feet? How are you going to keep the clutch, brake and throttle on the floor?

Maybe that's the problem, you're an alien, you have 3 feet

I asked the same question. Are you reading the thread? #18 was the answer.

Yes, I"m reading the thread and #18 is NOT the answer if you have a manual.

#18 is the answer if you have an AUTO.

You posted that you have an M7, so how is #18 the answer for you?

I am going to come to a stand still. Clutch in, brake hard, let off, then stomp the gas. If the rpm's come down off redline I will release the clutch. I believe you that I don't need to hit the brake. But it wouldn't hurt anything to pump the brakes whIle I am at a standstill before I hammer the gas. I have never gotten the rpm's to come down off redline, so I am willing to try. Maybe after I do a successful one, I will try again without the brake pump. I just really really want to execute a successful one.

Sorry I am feeling dumb, I should be able to do this. I am sure once I figure it out, it will be easy. But for now it feels way too complicated. I wish there was a button and some sort of "ready to launch" indicated on the dash.

Honestly, I think you should just stop trying before you fry your clutch or something worse.

#18 got me thinking about the hill assist though. I pump the brake pretty good while the clutch is in and the car doesn't roll backward. If I feather the brake to slow down, it rolls back until I give it the firm brake press and then it stops rolling back. I am thinking that same firm brake press while the clutch is in will engage itl. I feel like it is an input into the computer type thing. Again, I will be off the brake before I stomp the gas.

She's cute.

I hit the brakes pretty hard when I stage at the track in my other car to make sure I don't roll off the box. I still think this might work.

I promise I have watched these vid's, and others, several times. I just suck at life apparently. I launch hard without it, I just want to feel it once for experimentation. Just like v4 mode has happened exactly once in my car to make sure it worked

Straight from the owners manual
Launch Control feature is available, within Competitive Driving Mode (except Z51 with Magnetic Selective Ride Control) or Performance Traction Management (Z51 with Magnetic Selective Ride Control), on all vehicles to allow the driver to achieve high levels of vehicle acceleration in a straight line. Launch Control is a form of traction control that manages tire spin while launching the vehicle. This feature is intended for use during closed course race events where consistent zero to 60 and quarter mile times are desirable. Launch Control is only available when the following criteria are met: . . . Competitive Driving Mode is selected (except Z51 with Magnetic Selective Ride Control) or any of the Performance Traction Management modes are selected (Z51 with Magnetic Selective Ride Control). The TCS light comes on the instrument panel and the appropriate DIC message displays. The vehicle is not moving. The steering wheel is pointing straight. Manual Transmissions . . The clutch is pressed and the vehicle is in 1 (First) gear. The accelerator pedal is rapidly applied to wide open throttle. The Launch Control feature will initially limit engine speed as the driver rapidly applies the accelerator pedal to wide open throttle. Allow the engine rpm to stabilize. A smooth, quick release of the clutch, while maintaining the fully pressed accelerator pedal, will manage wheel slip.
