I hear what you're saying but isn't the screen in a non NAV C7 the same as the NAV version? It's not the NAV that's a problem, it's the screen electronics and/or circuitry....I think...
I just picked up the car. They replaced the NAV screen, removable roof pins and did my 4th and final oil change. I also asked them to check for the rattling noise in the dash, which a lot of forum members have been complaining about.
My service advisor said everything went well and they tightened up the dash (hopefully it won't rattle anymore) and the NAV screen certainly looks new and is functioning as designed. I'll check the oil level later once the car cools down.
One thing is puzzling though. My assumption was that when they changed the NAV screen my radio presets would have been wiped out but they weren't. I can't imagine the tech reset up my stations after completing the job.
Does anyone know if they disconnect the battery when replacing the NAV screen? Just curious....
