Thanks to 40+ people who answered. It appears that most fall into 2 categories. Me and only me - and - almost anyone, it's just a car. Interesting.

It's a car, although I enjoy it, there's absolutely nothing special about any corvette C7.

GM is building more every day.

Just me, no one else.

I got the M7, wife cannot drive a manual.

I always get manuals, not specifically because wife cannot drive one though.

I still remember my first ride in a new '68 Corvette a GM executive neighbor brought home for the night.....I was 12 yrs old. When I'm long gone, I know many people will remember forever whenever they see a C7... the day I let them.....DRIVE their first Corvette.

I'm the primary driver, but wife is welcome to it. She can drive a manual and did so with three previous Corvettes.

All my friends can drive it. Most own a Corvette.

Any family member who can drive a manual transmission. The manual tranny is the sticking point. I don't teach first time manual drivers on my Corvette.

Basically anyone I know well enough to trust. My kids LOVE driving it. At one point my daughter may have had more miles on it than me.
On the other hand my wife says she will never drive it!

My nephews took it to their proms this year.

I know my kids will remember the fun they had with it, and learned responsibility along the way, rather than thinking how their dad hoarded his "precious car" for just himself.

I'm 33, no wife or kids here, but I basically let my friends drive it. No big deal to me, I trust all my friends.

I tried to get my dad to drive it, but he's short and couldn't see over the steering wheel so well so he didn't feel comfortable driving it (he's also 73). But I take him and mom for rides all the time since I take care of them. Mom likes it more than dad does.

Its just a car, have fun with it and let those you like have fun with it as well, and for god sakes, let your wives drive it!

Only me I learned my lesson the hard way. I bought a new 1988 Corvette convertible I was 30 years old and my girlfriend at the time would bug me to let her use it. One Friday night she took it and went out with one of her girlfriends. I got a call from the Pennsylvania State Police at 3am to come and pick her up. She totaled it. She took out some guard rails and was charged with DUI. What a mess with my insurance co.

So since than nobody drives my Corvette but me.

Default Who gets to drive your corvette

I have allowed two young men as well as close friends drive my C7. I know that for the two young men it created wonderful memories. One of the young guys drove it to his senior prom. As been noted, its just a car, although a beautiful and expensive one. Oh; my wife drives it as well.

The "it's only a car people" are obviously on the wrong forum. No one has asked to drive my Stingray.

If I get the m7 then just me and my old man, no one else.

If I get the a8 Id let my gf drive it as well as any friend that I was out with and that I trust if I had been drinking too much. I'll be using uber quite a bit more if I get the m7 lol.
