Since I was traveling at xxx he apparently disintegrated.... found a few spots of blood, otherwise it appears as if he/she/it just squirted out from under the car.....
For all you offroaders out there, here is how your car is
supposed to sit!
Lowered on lowering bolts
1 1/2 down in front and
1 1/4 down in rear.
I HATE FENDER GAP
Thanks Chris. I get a lot of compliments on "your" Brickyard with 305 Michelins setup.
One complaint about TSW, Cray, and certain other wheels is the appearance of the rear wheels sticking out too far. With a little bit of work this can be corrected to give a C7 a good aggressive stance:
- adjust ride height down
- remove the spacers behind rear upper control arms (2 per side)
- a precise alignment with rear camber at negative extreme of GM specs
- 6 mm spacers behind front wheels to balance the look.
(To use 305 tires it will also be necessary to shave down the inner rear fender lips)
Note - with 1" trimmed from the 3 air dams, scraping is a non-issue. Rear has been lowered a bit more since this pic was taken.
That car has an absolutly perfect stance and wheel ofset!
BADA$$
Well, not sure what to say. I adjusted my car downward an inch. I park in a parking garage daily that includes steep inclines and many speed bumps. I drive over 10-20 speed bumps daily. I have a steepish driveway, and a very steep street exit.
Many C7 owners are scared of lowering because of bad experiences with C6 Grand Sports and Z06s. Because of their long front overhang those cars scraped all the time even at stock height. And terrible when lowered.
A C7, with its shorter and pointed front end, is more ramp-friendly even when lowered than a stock C6 GS or Z.

Pretty bold to say how everyone's car should look. I do like the lowered look, but if mine was lowered, it would never get in and out of my driveway without a lot of scraping. If lowering the car works for you, great. Just don't expect everyone to feel the same way.

Is that lowered all the way on stock bolts or did you purchase aftermarket bolts? I lowered mine all the way in front and back but yours looks lower? Could be that you have different wheels?
