Change stock headlight bulb?
I'm probably going to get flamed as usual, but was wondering if anyone has changed out their stock projection bulb and replaced with an HID or LED? I'm looking to get just a hint of blue.
thanks

You'll have to at least pull the front bumper. So if you have any plans for a new grill or some such thing... you might want to do all this in one shot.
You may also run into electrical issues depending upon current draw for these lights. Something tells me everything is very carefully computer controlled in C7's and it might throw some codes... check carfully with the vendor... ask to see a C7 with the lights.... who knows, once you see it, you may or may not like it...

The "stock" bulbs are already HID:
Ref RPO TF4 - Headlamps, high intensity discharge (HID), Xenon, LED park and turn signals and Daytime Running Lamps

I have a source for 6K bulbs for the C7. I've had mine in for close to a year and no issues.

Not my cup of tea but to each their own. This is not going to be an easy or cheap project.

Yep then Ferrari is ricer too,in my opinion, above 6k gets really blue and looks like the kids in their riced hondas running up and down the street . At least here in Florida. The stock stuff looks to be 5k. Personally 5-6 is bright, clean , white to me.

6K is as high as I go on headlights. I don't want blue or purple! I want bright white!

you guys did not disappoint!
I have HID kit in 02 dodge truck and I can see better at night, much cleaner look. I think its 6000. Don't get me wrong I'm not looking for the purple idiot look, sorry to my purple headlight idiots peeps, just seems like the lights could be more white, mine looks like it has a slight yellow tint, sort of like my truck had before HID.
anyway to each their own. if it involves removing front nose then uh....yeah....that aint happening. I'll just install the gun rack!

Do you have to pull the whole assembly to swap the bulb? I haven't really looked at the light assembly.
