Default C7's falling apart

I'm new to the whole forum scene so I guess you could say I'm suffering from information overload. I was thoroughly satisfied with my c7 and then I read a couple hundred pages of posts and subsequent threads. I've checked my throttle body and air intake tubing for oil, been listening for torque tube noises and feeling for rough shifting in my a8. I've been listening for loud lifters and squeaky roofs and about a hundred other things you read about in these threads. After all that, I jump in the car and realize everything is perfect. I just hit 20k miles in my 15 z51 and couldn't be happier. I've got no crazy noises to report, no oil where there shouldn't be oil, no vibrations, and I drive the absolute hell out of the car. I'm at the dragstrip weekly and do plenty of beating on the car on the street. This car basically only sees hard miles. I'm beginning to wonder if people just aren't driving them hard enough. I realize mine could fly all to hell tomorrow but so far so good.

Nice to hear some positive feedback. I'm at 3K miles with no issues on my '16 Stingray A8. Thanks for posting.

This Forum is an amazing place if you have problems with your car. Like all cars, things go bad or break. 98% of us love our cars. If you ever have a problem or take on a weekend project, you will love the help you get from the forum members.

Your a lucky man. Water pump went bad after 15,000 miles on my 2015. Found the leak while installing side skirts. Talk about luck. All is well now.

Funny you should mention this. I bumped into a psychiatrist friend of mine today at Starbucks, and I told him everything was going great, not a worry in the world. So he says "Take a walk back to my office with me, and tell me all about it..."

You're absolutely right. The information overload was my fault. Can't get enough of the tech section.

So far, so good with my 2015 C7. Reading the posts on this forum is advantages because it covers a lot of ground with regard to some problems that may pop up. Some good, knowledgable folks hang out here. Excellent advice, along with a bit of humor, for the most part.

It's possible I drive mine like a Cadillac and look at the hole I'm in right now!

Stinks what has happened, but stuff happens - glad for warranties and I hope they take care of you.

BTW, I have a Cadillac and I drive it like a vette.

To OP: I've put over 5k on my '15 Z51 and love it - none of the issues that are mentioned periodically.

My car has been boosted since around 3k miles, its now at 1200rwhp and the only issue that I have had was the bad infotainment unit which is being replaced in a few weeks.

Knock on wood!

About 7500 awesome miles on my 14.

More miles on my Caddy, and I, too, drive it like a vette!

You're not "lucky"; you're in the vast majority of owners who only experience the normal minor things (or nothing at all!) that all car owners face with any brand or type of car.

The Internet is an echo chamber in which bad stuff is yelled loudly and repeated often, regardless of the actual number of people who are impacted.

True story. Like I said, this is all new to me. I only joined to get opinions on SC kits and drag setups. I never expected the can of worms. People will beat the same couple of dead horses for months. I'm figuring it out.
