My wife and I each have our own KeyFob. She hasn't used hers yet. I have been using mine and been programming the car in the DIC and within the Mylink display. I have read conflicting information about this and would like to know the following:
If my wife starts using her KeyFob (never used before) will the settings I have adjusted with my KeyFob be wiped out? Or will her KeyFob continue to use what I have set? Also would her settings be her own as in just like when we first got the car? Or will my settings remain intact when I use my KeyFob and her settings be her own when she uses hers? Thanks.

One of you has the FOB now programmed as number 1. They are not marked, either one can be #1. Assuming you set your position for # 1 and it's doing what it is supposed to, she then has number 2. Set the seat where she would like and follow the procedure in the owner's manual and set her position for number 2. Depending how you set it up, it should go to the position set for the number of the key FOB in your possession (assuming you have an automatic) when you push the start button or the proper memory button.
The only confusion appears to happen if she has her key with her when you are driving together and she is the first one in the car. The seat will go to her setting when you sit down and start the car! If you press the #1 button when you sit down before you hit the start button it will go there.
I have a manual 2014 so it's different but believe I've stated a 2016 correctly.
That is what I was hoping for. I didn't want the little woman using her key and wiping out all the settings I had for the car as a whole.
The memory tied to the fobs is only the position of the driver seat (driving position and exit position, depending on settings), outside mirror positions and steering wheel position. Other settings WILL be affected by any changes she makes. For example, Engine Sound Management, HUD position and display mode, etc.
One thing I have noticed if my girlfriend has her keyfob in her purse and grabs the door handle first the car thinks she is the driver and adjusts to her and not me as the driver...very irritating. Now I make her leave hers at home when we drive together. Hated getting squished by her adjustments, I'm 6' she is 5'2"...ouch!

Yeah, the Corvette is the only Keyless entry vehicle I've driven that can't tell the difference between the driver's and passenger's seats.
One FOB will have priority over the other. As I recall, it should be the first one programmed. Best to determine which that is, then take that one for your primary use.
Set up memory 1 with your settings (already done).
Set up memory two with a forward seat position.
Take both FOB's and place them in the cup holder, then start the car and see which settings take effect.
That should help prevent the conflict when you both get in the car with FOB's.

Doesn't seem to work that way. Once the car sees one fob, it appears to stop looking for the other.
One thing I have noticed on my ride is that some of those settings in the manual don't appear in Mylink and the DIC for me. For example I have no option in the Bose sound system to equalize the audio according to noise in the Cab. Also I have no option in Mylink to have mirrors tilt down when putting the car in reverse. Little things like that here and there. I have a LT1 package and that may have something to do with it. But usually in the manual it has a little mark to annotate that is and extra option. But not so with the Bose or mirror issue.
The theme of my post I guess is just because one keyfob will have the option for the hierarchy of who's keyfob is king may not be available.
Anyway, that is my take on it.

Works that way on the wife's '14... Had to take that approach when we got home from the Museum, as she had the primary and it would override mine when I was in the driver's seat.
If they are both in range then the primary will take precedence, from our experience.
