Dude, this subject has been covered so many times ............... Are you having a slow night ? The answer is no. Now may I suggest you refer to your owners manual. The answer is in there. Have a Happy New Year.
Can you. Yes, but not advised. Why not? Because you may void your warranty:
Use premium unleaded gasoline
with a posted octane rating of 91 or
higher. If the octane is less than 91,
you could damage the engine and
may void your vehicle warranty.
If heavy knocking is heard when
using gasoline rated at 91 octane or
higher, the engine needs service.
11.5 to one compression ratio....you can, the computer will retard the heck out of your timing but you still might knock....not a good idea. You have enough money to buy buy the car but not enough money for the right gas???

Can I burn regular gas in my 2014 z51 Why and whynot thanks
At 20 mpg city 29 hi way the 91 pays for itself...if you did use 87 mpg would likely go down 20% and it would be no fun to drive...
That said if you run out an only 87 was available from a gas can you likely could get by long enough to get to a gas station. But I am not an engineer. ... I an sure others with more information will come along and confirm or deny if that holds up...

I wouldn't want to run under 91 in the car. At 11.5 comp it will really cut down the power on the car that is if you get into the paddle and KNOCK starts in her.. Robert
