Default Thinking about Z06

I am toying with the idea of trading my '15, Z51, A8 Vert in on a '16 Z06, With similar options-Vert, A8....The '15 has 12K miles on it...great condition.

What would constitute a good deal dollar wise?

And from you current Z06 owners, how do u like the car?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Can't help with your first question, but I have a 16Z06 Vert and love it. Drove it from BG to Tampa, fl and then to So Cal and enjoyed every mile.
Performance is breathtaking and you must be aware of what is just under your right foot at all times. Yet very docile in regular driving.
Go for it. You won't be sorry.

My first thought was WOW, second thought was I'm going to jail if I buy this. I almost ran up the backside of a state trooper, luckily, the sales guy saw him.

If you can take a money loss you should do it; 450 hp isn't enough? You only can use about 400 hp on the road in short bursts to get to 65-85 mph. But then again why not go all the way to 650?

I traded a 14 Stingray for a 15 Z. Took a beating on the 14 but would do it again in a heartbeat.

Guys how is the cabin room for U on the c7, i think it has less room than c5 0r 6? This is one thing that is holding me back on upgrading. Just to claify the 2016 stingray has 460 HP with the perf. exhaust. Thanks

If you really love power and performance then just do it! Money is still cheap for a little while but not much longer. The Z06 is your best bang for the buck and will impress yourself with the best Corvette GM can make.

I had a Z51 coupe A8 traded for a 2016 Z06 M7 no comparison in the 2 cars. I own Ferrari 458 and find driving the Z06 more fun...

Just picked up a Z06 coupe and traded my 2014 base coupe. I got a reasonable discount on the Z and a very generous trade in on the 14. To me money is not everything in life and I have more than enough to live on, but happiness is very important to me and the Z06 is just total happiness. It has exceeded all my expectations. One thing I have notice is that it is a much better driver than my 14. The only problem that I now have is winter and you can believe me when I say that if the temperature does not drop below 40, the sun is shining, there is no snow, ice or salt on the roads, I will be out enjoying the Z06.

Money does matter to me a lot.I knew when I bought the C7 I would be kicking myself in the butt.If you have the extra money, what I've been hearing you won't be sorry.I imagine every
Time that you stomp it doing 20-30 you won't regret it.650 HP it should jump.

If you don't mind taking a hit on the base C7 and can afford the price difference, go for it. The Z06 is a tough car to beat for the money.

I don't think corvettes lease very well. You can probably get a better deal on a Porsche. Good luck, the Z06 is a awesome car you will love if you can work out a deal .

I traded my 15 DSOM Z51 for my LBR Z06, and have no regrets what so ever. The Z06 is an amazing car through out and all the way around.

We have a 15 Z and it is absolutely a great car. Moved up from a 12 GS and wow what a difference. Very easy car to drive as performance is almost effortless. It also has great road manners and will travel crooked roads like they are almost straight.
If you can I don't think you'll be sorry.

Thanks guys. I had convinced myself that it was dumb to trade my 2015 Z51 for a Z06; now I'm rethinking the whole thing again...

Tough choice. New Z is bad axx for sure. Two pretty respected car mags said they would prefer a Z51 over the Z06 for the street.

Another option is a few mods to your 2015 and it will be a new animal. Feel free to PM and I will share my build and results, you can get to 525 HP in your car, stay N//A, less weight, for around 3.5K,

I debated the same thing myself. I couldn't justify the loss I would take on my 14 and what I felt was the high price tag of Z06. I decided on supercharger and headers and it's producing more horsepower than stock Z06 and it's like a different car. For me it was the perfect choice and I saved a boat load of money and really enjoyed the transformation. Whatever you decide you will have beast that is a joy to drive.
