On the fence for leasing a 2016 1LT now or wait for the 2017 model year. If history is correct Chevy may up the HP by 25 or so. Any rumors out there?
The only options I was going to get was automatic NPP and the upgraded wheel size to 19" front and 20" rear but was told in order to get the bigger wheels I need Z51 or MRC.
The wheel/tire diameter is virtually the same if you get the base or Z51. I think there is a trim option where you can get the bigger wheels without MRC or Z51, other than a different look there will be no performance gain. The 2LT interior option has all the everyday goodies that I longed for. I went with the base car, would go that route again. As for horsepower, really have a hard time using the 455 horses I currently have, four plus seconds and you are through sixty mph.

I think that you'll see a hp bump, however, negliable. It's all speculation at this point. Accurate information will be available in about 4 months...
On the build your own site, if you add the larger wheels the site also adds the MRC suspension. If you delete that, it also deletes the larger wheels.
I don't expect any HP bump. Fuel economy standards get considerably tougher for 2017. Adding HP while meeting those seems unlikely. In fact, I'd expect automatic Start-Stop to be standard to help in that regard.

I believe that you can get the ZF1 option, which is for the Z51 rims and trim, but not Z51 suspension, tranny etc.

ZF1 was dropped. the ONLY way to get the 19/20 set up is to order Z51 or MSRC on the base car.
But , as others have suggested, just go after market.
As for HP, I doubt that it would be a significant amount as CAFE regs. are getting more stringent for '17.

ZF1 ended in 2015. You know have to order the MR suspension to get the 19-20 combo. The Z51 isnt much more when you add the $3495 mag ride and $1195 NPP. I personally like the Z51 gearing better in the M7.
You may very well be better buying a set of wheels after the fact. You see take off wheels and tires for $1000-$1500.
I heard a rummer that the 2017 will have less HP to meet Obama EPA standards. Better get the last good ones 2016. Do you remember what happened to the later C3's and C4's.
2016 will be worth more than 2017.

Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
