Callaway possibility.
Had my 16 Z for a couple of months now and am beginning to think that adding the Callaway pkg would be nice. But damn, how fast does one need to be able to go? I'm one of those that thinks that when you think that too much HP is enough that maybe a little more would be nice.
But this thing in it's current stock form is borderline scary with very little out there that will run with it on the street.
Tell me I'm crazy please to even be thinking more HP.

If I had that kind of money and was certain I would be keeping the car,I'd get that package. Not because I'd even use all that power, but just because I could say I have it if I need it.Plus everything but their double D exhaust looks good on the car. In my opinion. It certainly wouldn't be to increase value because it doesn't. It would,at the end of the day,be for my utter enjoyment of my car!

I've had a blast with my Callaway. Great set up. OEM level quality and integration, with a huge infusion of speed and power. I also had them install their short-throw shifter (mine is an M7), which is a sweet unit, and their all new exhaust system which looks fabulous and sounds fantastic.
The car is now as it should have been IMO from the factory. Go get one and have a ball.

Send a note to Chris Chessnoe at Callaway. He's a great guy to talk to about this kind of thing.
He's also a Vendor here.

I love my 15 SC627 so I'm sure their set-up for your 16 Z06 would be a real blast. Who's to question how much HP you really need? It's knowing that you have it if and whenever you want it that counts. The look and feel (drive ability) of a Callaway is fantastic!

I miss my Callaway equipped C5. If I had the money, my C7 would be there getting their treatment today.

As a Callaway owner for almost 6 years I can't say enough good things about the performance, quality engineering and reliability. Do you need the extra power?...No. As with most mods, its primarily about bragging rights. Owning a Callaway puts you at the top of the food chain (if that's important to you). Additionally, I don't think it adds value to your car upon re-sale because I don't believe they are registered or serialized any longer as in some previous years.
Having said all of that, get what YOU want...life is short, enjoy it!!

I could see doing the Calloway on a base or Z51 C7 but the Z06 is just crazy already. Heck, the first time first time I got on my M7 base convertible it kinda spooked me with only 460 hp. Maybe I'm just a wussy.

Since I'm a little guy in the room with a SC627, I will tell you that Callaway has one of the best setups that I've ever driven. The power is progressive, it feels and looks like it could've come from Bowling Green with that powertrain package. That's not at all an insult. It's a power package that doesn't feel like some fly-by-night tuner. It feels like it's put together by professionals.
Plus, it's nice to drive a unicorn every once in a while. Callaways are super rare. Not everyone knows what they are, but the people that do rubberneck every stoplight; kids google the name 'Callaway' and it's the closest I've ever come to driving a 'Unicorn Car' that no one else possesses.
Oh, and ol' Callaway Chris actually WILL answer your questions and will give up his phone number to you. I don't know when the man sleeps!

If you've got the money to do the conversion, go for it. Quality engineering from a top vendor.

While I personally don't know anyone with an SC757 (there is a forum member local to me who has one though), I'm sure it's awesome. Callaway definitely has top notch products and OEM quality.

Do it, who cares if you have to buy tires every other week. I certainly don't!
If I could afford it I would more than likely do it to my car, and I really don't think that the Corvette needs any more power. My base is fast enough for me...but all things considered having a Callaway would be great.
Great product and factory warranty. Can't go wrong.
