Default Scam letter today

National Theft Search & Recovery
5030 Champion Blvd, Suite G11-422
Boca Raton, FL 33496

Sent me this (snail mail) letter today:

We hope you have been enjoying yoru vehicle so far. You have not yet contacted us to receive your anti-theft protection DNA Labels and Decals. Without an active DNA Decal on your vehicle, Police and Law Enforcement Agencies will not have access to track your vehicle to you through the National Theft & Recovery Database in the unfortunate even that your vehicle is stolen. You are leaving your vehicle "AT RISK" of not being recovered back to you if it is stolen.

BLAH BLAH BLAH

Has anyone else received this tripe?

I like when I get the ones telling me they want to share $37,893,939 with me. I always write back and sound excited. Then they tell me how much $ to wire and to where. Usually its a few thousand dollars. So I write back again and tell them I can't wait to send the $5000 (or whatever it is they asked for) but before I can do this, I have to pay fees to the IRS/my accountant so they will release my $10,000 tax refund. The fees are $850 I tell them and if they wire me the $850, then I'll get the $10,000 and send them $5850 back.

Then I tell them I can't wait to get the $38M and ask how soon they can wire me the $850.

Then I get back to work...

That sounds important. You better call them and get those labels and decals for your car.

Haven't received the letter, but do get phone calls saying that my computer is infected. I then tell them that it is for sale and ask them if they would like to buy it...of course I get a "no"...

Did you, by chance, buy any sort of service like this when you bought the car? I know the dealer around here will charge a couple hundred bux to etch a number into the window and register it with some stupid service.

The one I like is the letter telling me my car is about to go out of warranty and I should immediately buy an extended warranty from "I'm-No-Good" insurance company - my car is a '15 C7......

No, but the Ford dealer near me used to offer that a few years back.

Looks like this company has been around a whopping 3 months. Not sure how they got my name unless Sirius or Onstar shares that info. I haven't registered with either of those services, either.

I get the warranty letters too. Got one for my 15 C7 about a month after I got the car. Car probably didn't have 1000 miles on it yet. Geez, expired already?
