Default Seat Auto Memory recall issue

2014 C7 3LT I am starting to have an issue with recalling the seat position once the car starts. It will not reposition unless I manually move the seat forward slightly before starting the car. I looked through the manual and see:

To save positions to the B (Exit) button and easy exit features:

1. Adjust the driver seat, outside mirrors, and power tilt and telescoping steering column to the desired positions for getting
out of the vehicle.
2. Press and hold SET and B at the same time until a beep
sounds.

When I try to save the exit position to slightly forward it does not work. I adjust the seat position Press and Hold SET and B at the same time but it does not beep and the position is not saved.

Does anyone know a way to correct this issue?

There have been reams and reams of info here on the forum.

Try this. Do every thing you did before but when you move the seat all the way back to get for ready to program the exit feature, move the seat forward a slight bit and then program it into the memory feature. If that doesn't work, search a bit here and see what others have done.

And help she definitely did. After watching Ginger's video I was able to eliminate the problem and it has not reoccurred since.

THANKS

The key issue is to turn off the auto memory recall before you adjust the seat and once adjusted, turn it back on. Watch the video and do it exactly as she describes. That step is not in the manual...

I've done the "set the exit position all the way back but then move it up a small amount" thing and it alleviated the problem somewhat. Still at times when starting the car it would not move to seat position 1. Not all the time mind you but about 10% of the time. I also have position #2 set to "lean back and enjoy the road" mode" and I've had problems returning to position #1 from that on occasion. Also moved that forward slightly to alleviate the problem but similarly every once in awhile that fails to move to position #1 too so I finally said screw it and unplugged that thing behind the seat. Search around and there are posts here about how to do it. It's pretty simple and takes but a few minutes. Have not had a recurrence so far...

If you are on the tall side, this is the fix; lift the carpet behind the seat and disconnect the single wire to the limit switch....zip-bang done
