C7 Corvette Brey Krause Harness Bar
The C7 harness mount bar properly locates and supports racing shoulder harnesses relative to the driver. In the case of an accident, it helps protect the driver's shoulders and spine. The harness guides also prevent excessive shifting and fatigue of the driver during the high G loads of cornering and braking. Our bars are easy to install and remove, use only existing holes and mounting points.
Features:
- Material: Type 304, stainless steel.
- Finish: Powder-coated in durable black wrinkle-finish Weight: 17.12 lbs.
- Models: C7 Coupes and Z06 Coupes
- Installation: Bar attaches to factory mounting points in "B" pillars.
Note: Because of mounting locations in the C7, the b-pillar plastic sail panel covers will require slot on either side to be cut. Sail panels replacements can be ordered from your GM Dealer, part 23176134 for driver side, and part 23176135 for passenger side if you do not want to cut the original panels. Strength requirements for harness mounts are considerably greater than those for harness guide bars since they must support the entire load applied to the belts.

Any pics with harnesses installed? Which part of the bar do they go on? Had one of these in my old C5Z and it was great, but only had one horizontal bar for harnesses.

Burning Brakes
I had a harness bar in my C4, which required cutting out fiberglass to mount the rear portion. It was a huge PITA. This looks much simpler.
That aside, if you do HPDE, this or something like it is what you need. It keeps you in place, reduces fatigue (because you're not struggling to stay in the seat) and is much safer than the stock 3-point harness should you have the misfortune (as I did) to hit an immovable object at speed.
Of course, you must also buy proper belts and mount a proper anti-submarine belt (for a five point harness). None of that is cheap, but how much is a new head?
