I was wondering if anyone has filled in the Corvette script that is embedded in the base C7 stock wheel with a color plastic dip material?
Wondering if it would work / stay in the wheel. Thought that it would look interesting and maybe like a solid band of color at speed.
Anyone?
Pics? Photoshop?

Many years ago C5 owners were taping off and painting the debossed letters on the rear fascia. They'd tape off close to the letter perimeters, spray paint them, then wipe the area over the letters with thinner or mineral spirits, being careful not to dip into the recessed letters. Worked beautifully.
I painted my letters with a paint pen from a hobby store. I have chrome wheels and really didn't expect the paint to stick very well. After a year I'm proud to say the paint is still there and looks like I put it on yesterday. My method included pulling the wheel/tire off the car and leaning it against a wall or firm object, tilting it so the depression in the letters is about level. Then I cleaned the area with alcohol, dried it, and filled the depression with paint. I added a second coat after an hour or so. After final drying I carefully wiped the area clean with a "dry" (not dripping) alcohol wipe to clean the outer surface. Don't let alcohol fill the depressions cuz it may damage the fresh paint. Good luck!

2015 chrome wheels
I paid big bucks to have the word "Corvette" stamped into my chrome wheels, no way am I going to alter the image. When I ordered I couldn't find a decent set of aftermarket wheels that would fit the car so I went stock.

Point is, I could not find any aftermarket wheels that looked as good or half the price as the stock chrome wheels.
