Dont ask a detailer to do a coating, just have him polish the car, that should be 500 or so.....once done , take it home, and coat it for $100 worth of products....Its easy.
Some detailers want to make the plan sound complicated, so they can justify hugh prices. Its not.....
Nicely done on the full coating. Nothing better than a well detailed car with a show quality shine. Sounds like this Ceramic Pro will make your job easier. Unfortunately, I'm still rolling old school
How long did it take from start to finish? Do you mind passing me the shops number? We are moving out that way and I would like to have my Vette done. Thank you!

Problem is that a lot of the better coatings you can't buy unless you are a certified dealer.
I had Opticoat Pro Plus done on my car a few months ago.
And my car is now in the shop getting a Z06 body kit put on my car and the whole car is being repainted... That was $1500 well spent.
I'm going to go with Cquartz this time I think. Sucks I'm going to have to wait 30 days though before I can put any XPel or coating on the car. I have a 1/2 mile event coming up the 3rd week of January and I'm going to have to wrap the front of the car in several layers of painters tape.
You don't have to wait a single day , any detailer so that tells you diff, find a new detailer. And there s not a huge diff in the detailer only products, the other coatings wear and last well.

The body shop, paint manufacturer, as well as the vinyl/coating place all told me to wait at least 30 days. Paint will take that to fully cure while solvents outgas. Could affect not only the paint but could also cloud the vinyl.

All of of them are wrong. Paint is baked at plant and outgassing all done.
Remember, they detail your car at the NCM on a museum delivery and msny apply xpel before going home. Now a repaint at a body shop is 30 days but not the factory paint.
Call xpel and ask.......

I never said anything about factory paint. My original post was about getting a Z06 body put on and the whole car being repainted and having to wait.
