327 with 350 hp and 3.70 rear is pure heaven-more responsive than the 67 big blocks.

My 67 427 tri power coupe was nowhere as refined as the 16Z.

To me, all you who have posted the old and new corvettes, have probably worked your tails off to be able to have both.... to have old and new should make you proud of your accomplishments.
Congrats and Merry Christmas
Thanks for sharing your beautiful cars

Soon after I bought my '67 roadster in 1992 I put a new 350 in it, and later a 230/230 cam, then big-valve aluminum heads and HEI ignition. I even replaced the wiring harness rather than worry about problems, and throughout warm weather I drove it nearly every day it didn't rain. I didn't put the top up all year.

Now for winter the hardtop is on it, and with my electric fan installed, I took the engine fan off so warmup is faster.

(Incidentally, as regards the C2/C3 harness, any failure of the two large connectors through the firewall won't strand you, as engine wiring is direct. You won't have front lights though.)

Still, the C7 is my winter daily driver with all-season Michelins.

Both : burn gas and have 4 rubber tires
Both : gorgeous
Both : small blocks have the same 4" bore centers

That's about it....
