Default C7 Fob help

I bought a 14 from the insurance auction that is hit in the right front, no fob so I'm hoping there is a way to program without taking it in to the dealer if I get a fob? I believe it was possible on my C6. Just hoping someone can point me in the right direction on the C7.

Yes, it's a little different than the C6 but similar. Here's a pdf step chart:

Yes, you can match a fob to the car if you have a key cut first. Lots of questions on where to get the odd key blank and where to have it cut. I bought a spare fob and key from a dealer and the key came cut from the parts depot. They will require the VIN and proof of ownership to cut the key and make sure you get the correct fob (there are 4 different ones).

Fob instructions are in the manual (2014, others similar):

See Programming without a
Recognized Transmitter on page 2-6:

Good luck!

Yeah, I'm guessing ill buy the key from the dealer. Ill have to check vin and verify fob as it is a convertible 3lt car so I'm guessing it has it all with the top down and start button.

Done this with a C6 but its been 10 years ago.

Thanks for the input guys.

There are four fobs.

1. Mn, Convertible
2. Mn, Coupe
3. Auto, Convertible
4. Auto, Coupe

Trim level has nothing to with any of this on the C7, only if it is manual or auto (since you apparently have a Vert). Remote start is not available with the manual transmission.
