Default Infotainment Screen.

Has anyone seen a need to put a screen protector on the infotainment screen?

Haven't done it on my 2015 Impala. Cleans off pretty easy with a microfiber cloth.

It really is tough and easy to clean. A protector would make it very difficult to use, adding a lot of extra pressure to get it to work.

I don't see how putting a protector on the infotainment screen would be worse than putting one on a cell phone or ipad/tablet computer?

Here's where you can get one though http://www.corvettemods.com/C6-C7-Co...m_p_12548.html

It's not a capacitive screen, it's resistive. It's just going to require you to mash the screen harder adding by a layer to it. I don't interact with my car screen nearly as much as my phone, nor does it travel so I dont see any benefit to it, just a drawback.

I did put one on mine. IIRC correctly I bought it pre-cut to the correct size off of Amazon, came as a package of 3 sheets. I have not noticed the need for more pressure to activate the touch functions. Would do it again.

Thanks for the info. I ordered from Amazon after reading your post.

Same here. Works fine and I like the added protection it affords. First time you accidentally scratch the "naked" screen, it'll make any drawbacks and cost of a screen cover seem inconsequential.

No need for one in my opinion, but no harm and certainly cheap enough if you choose to do so.

I had one on my C6 and the main reason was it was supposed to help stop glare.
Also tried them on my phone etc but none of them seem to make much difference as far as Glare goes.
I got a Ballistic Glass protector for my phone.
But not going to get anything for the Infotainment screen.
YMMV
