Sometimes turning the car off and wait a few seconds and restart the car will get the light back on.
If it truly is a headlight, than you're looking at removing the front nose to get to the pod and remove the pod and then replace the light.
This is labor intensive and it will cost a lot. The bulb will be $200 if the dealer supplies it.
I replaced both my front bulbs with 6K bulbs for ~$225. I removed the nose did the bulbs and while I was in there I replaced the grill to the Z06 grill.
If you have an hour or two, the tools, and the nerve, do it yourself and save a ton of money.

I don't see any exclusions for bulbs, but it does say "...for warrantable repairs that are required as a result of defects due to material and/or workmanship." They ight tell you a burnt out bulb is a normal wear item, like worn out brake pads, and not a defect.

Only way to find out for sure is call the dealer.
This is true, but there's no way an HID bulb should be burnt out in 2 years. Most HID bulbs have a lifespan of thousands of hours. I would go in and give it a shot with the warranty angle, and personally it'd be VERY hard for the service adviser to convince me it wasn't under warranty.
Good luck.
I have had several of the bulbs in my former C6 replaced while under warranty and the same for my wife's Lacrosse. Service guys said that they are under the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. I would assume that the HID's in the C7 will be also, and as the life span is longer than those in the C6 it should not be a problem getting the light replaced under warranty.
Just curious Phantom - are you using the "Auto" feature on your headlights; i.e. the car decides when to turn them on?
I ask this because if you park your car in a garage, more than likely the lights come on when you start the car and then go out once you get outside. This short term cycling drastically affects the life cycle of the HID bulbs and ballasts.
I learned this the hard way.
Hopefully, your dealer will take care of this under warranty.

HMMM, never thought about this but you make a good point. I have always had the switch in the "Auto" position on all my cars, Lexus, BMW and Audi, with Xenon or HID headlights and haven't had one burn out yet but I tend to trade cars about every 3 years. We have a 2009 Lexus with the original bulbs that is garaged and the lights are in the auto position but as I recall there is a delay on when the headlights turn on as it gets dark so I'm not sure they do come on when it is started in the garage. As far as the C7, I think you are right the headlights do come in when started in the garage and then when you back out into the daylight they go off. I think I will move my switch to the "Off" position and not take a chance. GM may be sourcing the cheapest bulbs that don't have the longevity of the ones used by BMW, Audi and Lexus.

My Mercedes' lights come on immediately. My problem with that car is there is no "Off" option! I have to turn on my parking lights prior to starting the car, or pulling back in.
I'm not saying that this is Phantom's problem, but I had a problem with this a few years back, and a friend had to replace the ballast on his BMW 3 series and that cost thousands of dollars.

OM says to turn the headlight switch to the off position to disable the Auto mode but it's a momentary spring-loaded switch that only turns my headlights off for one cycle. The next time I start the car the Auto cycle is enabled again. How do you permanently shut the Auto feature off?
Sux. My headlights come on every time I drive into my garage. My Mini Cooper has HID's that have lasted 5 years/100k miles. Would not be fun to have to pull the front fascia to replace a bulb prematurely.
From: Calgary, AB. There's a reason why white was the only color offered on every year Corvette. Proud Canadian German Jamaican!

get a paper cup, cut it down, poke a hole big enough in the side to fit the business end of a flashlight in, cover the ambient light sensor (the little dome on the dash) with the cup, turn on the flashlight and see how it works.
Just a quick thought, I don't factually know if it would work or not.
You can leave it in the auto position but when you start to pull into the garage twist the **** down 1 notch and it eliminates the headlites from turning on and returns to the auto position.
