You need T10 led's. I bought these, but you can search and get lots of different options. These worked great for me.

Twist it 90 degrees, then the wire with the bulb comes out, then replace bulb.

Completely agree with this! I kind of laughed when I saw the video. While I appreciate the OP's efforts, he really didn't show how to do anything. I guess I'll figure it out for myself when I install mine tomorrow.
not trying to be a ball buster here, but if you're going to go through the trouble of making a video like this, why would you just say "pop this off, take bulb out and put new bulb in?" If someone is going to watch a video of how to, they prob don't know exactly how to pop something off without breaking it. Show them how to pop the housings off without breaking them....

Any videos on how to replace the foot lights to the new colorful strips?

I was thinking this same thing too. Worst "how to" video I've ever seen.

Sorry I assumed it was self explanatory how to pry the housing out from 1 side with a screw driver tip and slide a bulb out for another. Super easy. Try it and you will see what I mean.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be overly critical as any input is appreciated here on how to do things. But it just seemed like you went to a lot of effort making a video that doesn't show how to remove the lamp holders, what bulbs you used, where you got them, etc.

I swapped mine out a couple months ago and started noticing a problem this weekend. The license plate bulbs light up fine when I push unlock on the fob, but as soon as I start the car, one bulb goes out and other flashes slowly. I got the cheap bulbs from the online store. The hatch lights work fine. I put the factory bulbs back in and they work fine. Any ideas? Should I try a higher quality bulb?

Get better bulbs, it seems like the cheapies have a high failure rate and don't last very long.
I'm using these, so far so good...

Actually those are the exact bulbs I bought.

Well, that sucks! Hopefully mine stay good... If they give me any trouble, I'll likely go with the Philips next time around.

I did both my interior lights and my license plate lights. I have since put both back to stock. Here's why:
1 - I found that the LED on the interior were too bright. When leaning over to put in or pull out groceries in the back, I could barely look at them at night.
2- The license plate bulbs are so bright they actually interfere with the backup camera at times. Plus, it makes my plate a little too easy to read.

Your videos on Youtube are actually what made me interested in buying a vette, and the Z51 video you did made me decide on buying one.
