What is the recommended remedy when brakes are stuttering? I have a '15 Z51 with 3750 miles, and this just started about a month ago. I can only detect it at 50 mph+. It feel it under both hard and soft braking.
I had a similar problem on my '02 Z06, and getting a road force balance on the wheels fixed it. The car had over 13K miles at the time.
I had this issue also. Take to dealer and it most likely is wheel or caliber out of specs. I have had both of mi Es replaced just because of the same issue.
Yup, I've had a few cars do that, more so on my C7 Z51. Go out and romp on the brakes once or twice from 50/60 MPH down to about 20....DO NOT come to a full stop! If the vibration/shudder lessons or goes away, it's brake pad build-up on the rotors, quite common and often mistaken for warped rotors.
Once I change the brake dust laden OEM pads out for Carbotech 1521's the problem doesn't come back.

Exactly right. I imagine that the OP didn't burnish the pads when new and now has pad material build up on the rotors. The sad thing is that this is usually diagnosed as warped rotors which is extremely rare in street cars.

I had the same problem at about the same mileage. I took it to the dealer, who could replicate the problem. He didn't see anything wrong, so GM authorized changing all the rotors and all the brake pads under warranty. They were overnighted and the car was ready in about 2 days. Obviously, the problem was solved.
I agree when you're out of warranty to switch to Carbotech, but as long as you're in warranty, you might as well let GM pay for the problem.
