The video really doesn't prove anything as no telemetry is provided for either the Lambo or Z06 to verify speeds.
While the Z06 had fast acceleration, it is impossible to even determine the speed of the Lambo.
The true test for comparison is on a track or drag strip that is timed running each vehicle under the same conditions.

Like I stated in my post. The test would be on a track or drag strip in a timed event to compare each car.
A Ford Focus can beat a Corvette if the Focus accelerates and the Corvette doesn't. You should realize that. Probably what happened here.
But I am sure many will advocate the Corvette beat the Lambo in the video.
I am sure if there was a cop near by, the Corvette would have gotten the ticket. The guys in the Lambo would have driven by laughing.
I have no reason to be down on the Corvette C7. Hell, I own one.

Now here's a realistic comparison. Top Gear is very well respected.

I own a 28 year-old- Ferrari.... a 3.2 Nissan can accelerate right alongside of me, even beat me, perhaps... the car's still no slouch.... a supercar in its day.... 0-60 about 6 seconds, top speed 160+...
We have zero idea what the Vette in the clip had under the hood.
Until recently I had a CTS-V that was a bit more than stock and I trashed Vettes handily until I picked on the wrong one and he pulled away from me the way the Vette did in the video against the Lambo - saw the Vette guy a couple of days later he was pushing 750 hp.
My C7 will stomp all over my Ferrari - but ask me which is more fun to drive.... it ain't all about speed.... it's far more fun to drive a slow car fast than it is to drive a fast car fast....
