There used to be a unique Corvette finder that you could search nationwide inventory for colors (exterior and interior), trim levels, auto/manual and some other options. It would return exact matches. Unfortunately, the developer passed away and it no longer works.

You're stuck with Cars.com, Autotrader, etc.

I used autotrader, cars and cargurus to do nationwide searches.
Found some of the cars on cars were already sold and had not been updated. Bought my used 14 in Iowa.

Many dealer website seem to be the same listing cars they have not gotten or already sold to get people in the door.

W88fixer:

GM dealers have a computer system where they can access the inventory of C7's across the USA.

This is exactly how I found my 2015 C7. My dealer, a CF dealer, was willing to spend time finding a C7 that was close as possible to what I was looking for.

He found a C7, called me. provided the VIN number. I did some of my own research. I found the car was located in the middle of he corn belt in Nebraska. My dealer emailed me the GM information that the dealer gets on the C7. All pricing points were fully disclosed from dealer invoice, supplier pricing, employee pricing and other figures I did not understand at the time. My dealer and I worked on a price. Once agreed, my dealer completed a dealer to dealer purchase, went to York, NE to transport the C7 back to the Kansas City, MO area.

Then the dealer secured auto transport for me, paid the transport fee up front, then I repaid the dealer.

As for the general consumer, Autotrader.com provides a great starting point for a search. There are other websites like CarGuru.com, eBay.com (which dealers use) and a few others.

If you can find a dealer willing to make the sale and spend time searching, they immediately have access to the costs, dealer cost etc.

I have to praise my dealer Cable Dahmer in MO and Micheal Leon the New Car Mgr for spending a few hours searching for what I wanted. He found the C7, and got the sale.

The information the dealer has is second to none. It's finding a salesperson and dealer who is willing to spend some time to earn the sale.

Just Goggle year, color, option package, etc., it will bring up all dealers with cars that fit your specs. Did it to find mine. Gave me every dealer in the country with my specs.

Strange because vettefinder has a BANNER AD on the CF Forum right where I found it.

Correct site is www.vettefinders.com

They are a CF vendor. Looks like I missed the "s".

Just in case it's a typo, the site is WWW.VETTEFINDERS.COM; finders, as in plural.

Because of your experiences, I did not try the singular. ;0
